One of my friends said this place was really good so she suggested we go there. It's right downtown so parking van be tricky. It can also be a bit hard to find so if you know where Tudor is, it's right next door. Down the street from Vice on Franklin. It is an Asian restaurant so their menu actually expands from seafood broils and offers hibachi items as well. My friend got the hibachi chicken. It definitely isn't done hibachi style but she said it was good overall. My other friend and I got the crablegs and shrimp. I never realized how much 1 pound a shrimp was. You get a lot of big juicy shrimp which is great. It is peal and eat shrimp so the flavor you choose gets soaked into the shell allowing a good flavor. They alao ask you what spice level you would like which is nice. For the 1 pound of crab you get 2 clusters. Which ends up being an extra $10 for the cluster when you compare the price to the cluster and shrimp combo. It also comes with 2 mini corn and 2 red potatoes. I think it was a good amount of food considering the price we each paid. Our waiter was very nice and there's a good amount of room for seating. I would come back here again when I'm in the mood for a seafood broil. Oh and when you check in through yelp you get a free desert. It was cheesecake and surprisingly very good.

The Crabman is up there in my top favorite local restaurants. We arrived at 8:30pm, since Google says they were open until 10pm, it turns out their closing time changed to 9pm due to Covid. So since it was so close to their closing time we ordered a meal for 4 to go. Our order was ready fast, and by the time we made it home (20 minutes away) our food was still hot and ready to eat. We really appreciate that our crab legs were already cracked for us it made eating at home so much more convenient. The food gets all the stars though omg, BEST seafood in Buffalo! Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and accommodating for us! 5 Stars again for my most recent experience at The Crabman!

Checked out this new seafood spot in town and I must say I was a bit disappointed. This is mostly due to poor menu naming for a couple items (re:Catfish dinner is not Catfish and Gumbo soup is not really Gumbo). I went with a party and most everyone really enjoyed there seafood (Mussels, shrimp, and crab were gotten). I tried them all and it was good. Definitely recommend the Cajun seasoning over the House blend choice for more flavor and kick. I had the "Fried Catfish" which was really just Haddock (a standard white fish offering at most Buffalo/WNY restaurants). It came with well-seasoned fries. Overall the meal was good, but the portions left something to be desired. For the the same price, you can get better Fish Fry elsewhere ($12). The shrimp and mussels I tried were delicious thorough, which bumps this review up to a 4 vs. 3 star one for me. I also had the hush puppies (good), which came with ranch dressing (strange). This atmosphere/vibe for the spot is still being discovered as this is a new spot and wait times were great so hopefully things will continue to improve with time, including some menu changes to better reflect offerings.

It's good but nothing life changing. I think to get your moneys worth you need to go for the feast for $117. Otherwise, after you pick everything you want ala carte, you'll probably spend even more. No liquor license yet so dont go looking to get tipsy lol

A good addition to the Downtown restaurant scene, though the price points could pose an issue over time. I went during the soft opening, and my dining companion and I took advantage of the 15% off deal to load up on lobster and shrimp, plus extra corn and potatoes. We considered the crab legs, but felt the amount of effort and mess wasn't worth the small amount of meat. Service is attentive and quick, and food comes out pretty fast. I was happier than expected with my shrimp. The 1lb serving is plenty, and it might be the best deal on the menu except for nightly specials. I got the "special" sauce, which is all of the sauces combined, and ordered the spice turned up to "Fire." The waitress was excited to inform me that I was the first person to order "Fire" level food, so I was expecting it to be burn-your-face off hot; I was a little bummed to find it extremely tolerable. I would have liked a little more salt in the seasoning, but honestly, that's an easy addition, and I'm sure there are others who appreciate that it's not overly salted. I love that they provide a decent quality bib and good gloves that don't rip; I enjoyed using my hands to get into the food--and then being able to walk out without being covered in sauce. This place will be a lot of fun once they get their liquor license.
